DAVID RANDLE SEES BETHANY'S CONTINUUM EXPAND

As Bethany's North Suburban Campus has expanded in recent years, David Randle has been a driving force behind the ever-increasing continuum-of-care.

Randle, chief operating officer for Glenview and Morton Grove, has seen services expand at Chestnut Square at The Glen (independent living), The Bethany Terrace (health & rehabilitation center), Partners in Healthcare (homecare services) and Terrace Gardens Assisted Living (opening January 2011).

"Our residents and patients take great comfort in knowing that we’re able to meet whatever lifestyle option and healthcare need they might have," said Randle. "The peace of mind we are able to provide is invaluable, and it's what makes my job so fulfilling."

Before overseeing the North Suburban Campus, David served as executive director at Chestnut Square and administrator at The Bethany Terrace. Today, in addition to his role as COO, he also serves as chief marketing officer for Bethany Methodist.

"David's work ethic and attention to detail can be seen in so many areas," said Stephen A. Dahl, Bethany's president and CEO. "He is a true ambassador for Bethany's mission of 'Called to Care,' and I feel very blessed to have him as a part of our great team."

RESIDENTS REVEAL TOP FIVE REASONS FOR COMMUNITY LIFE

A recent survey of Bethany Methodist residents revealed the top five reasons for moving to a retirement community:

1. Being near family. As we age, the desire to be near our children and other loved ones increases.
2. Home maintenance. Homes need upkeep, remodeling and repairs which can grow costly. In a retirement community, maintenance and housekeeping are handled by staff on-site.
3. Socialization. The neighbors are getting younger and younger! In a retirement community, your neighbors are of similar age and the community has a wealth of cultural and leisure activities.
4. Transportation. Once you stop driving, it becomes difficult to find adequate transportation (and don't forget about Chicago's snow and rain). At Chestnut Square at The Glen, there is convenient transportation to shopping, banks, doctors and more!
5. Dining. Who wants to eat alone? At Chestnut Square, there is a flexible meal plan that allows residents to partake in a delicious variety of cuisines, all while in the company of friends.

Why wait another year to secure a vibrant, rewarding lifestyle? To learn more about retirement living at Chestnut Square at The Glen, please call (847) 998-1118.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO MOVE TO A RETIREMENT COMMUNITY?

"I'm not ready yet," "I need to clean out my house," "I'll wait until the economy changes," or "I'm too young." We've all heard them, but when it comes to choosing a retirement community, these are the barriers we put up to delay one of life's most important decisions.

What happens then is we're put into the position where making a move is no longer a choice, but a reaction to a life-changing event. Wouldn't it be better to secure your future on your own terms?

Chestnut Square at The Glen, one of the North Shore's premier senior living communities, offers a maintenance-free lifestyle that is active, rich and fulfilling...all with a 100% Refundable Entrance Fee.

The community features deluxe one- and two-bedroom floor plans and a complete array of services and amenities, including a 24-hour emergency response system, "Signature" Dining Program, on-site fitness center, health center, and diverse leisure programs and outings.

A rewarding lifestyle at a sensible price doesn't have to wait. Call (847) 998-1118 to learn more. Appointments are available daytime, evening and weekends.

I'M READY FOR RETIREMENT LIVING, BUT HOW DO I SELL MY HOME IN TODAY'S HOUSING MARKET?
